In its famous 'Creation of Adam' painting Michelangelo represents God and Adam loosely touching hands by their finger tips as a metaphor of the Creation. Here no God, no Adam, instead just a tree branch weakly balanced by its own gravity on the fingertip of an anonymous cut-off hand.
