The work consists of a compass and a rotating sound device playing the sound of the sea in loop. As the speaker moves around the compass, the needle normally showing the north keeps following the circular movement of the sound, attracted by the rumor of the breaking waves.

'Viajante' consiste en une boussole et une installation sonore motorisée rotative diffusant en boucle le son de l’océan. Alors que le haut-parleur tourne autour de la boussole posée sur le sol, l’aiguille normalement pointée vers le nord suit machinalement le mouvement circulaire de l’enceinte, comme attirée par le bruit du ressac.
